Reginald “Guitaro 5000” Guillaume of Haitian American descent is a solo percussive style guitarist and singer. Guitaro has gained an International fan base on YouTube for his unique percussive guitar technique and his high energy presence. His performance career started in the NYC subways in 2010. It’s there he would play for people and aim to start dance parties and singalongs with New York commuters. This is where his highly interactive style of performance took shape, with each performance designed to draw people out of themselves and become a part of the show. His music covers topics around freedom, love, and self expression. Guitaro’s EP, “Feel Alive” (2018) is a collection of music that captures what it’s like in those moments when you step outside of your own fear and really live.
